Crafting a Distinct Brand for a Niche Field
Cadaver Inc., an Auckland-based company, specialises in the preservation and cleaning of animal skulls and skeletons, transforming them into osteological specimens for educational and display purposes.
As a new business unfamiliar with brand identity, I guided them through the entire design process, involving them in each step to ensure they understood the essence of building their visual identity. Together, we developed a clean, clinical aesthetic that reflected their scientific expertise and niche focus.
The logo featured classic left-aligned typography, using a mix of bold and light fonts, adaptable for use across different media. The visual style emphasised stark white space with colour block accents, highlighting their striking cadaver photography.
With their website and scientific blog still in progress, we focused on launching simple banner ads for social media and editorial platforms, ensuring a cohesive and professional brand presence across all touch points.
