A Fusion of Culture and Creativity
Blackpin Clothing was a personal project where I took charge of everything from identity, illustration and collaboration with other artists, sourcing product to labelling and garment manufacture. Drawing from my Maori heritage, I integrated traditional imagery and vibrant colours into the collection. Collaborating with renowned graffiti artist Askew One, we crafted a culturally inspired line that resonates with authenticity and modern street style.
I successfully launched the collection by selling a quarter of my stock through an urban streetwear collective in Auckland and promoted the Blackpin range at local festivals.
